Meet our Director
Jennifer Franklin has been practicing law for 25 years. She’s an expert family law solicitor offering specialist advice in family breakdown, including property and parenting matters.
She understands the stresses of separation and offers compassionate, authentic advice, providing clients with information that empowers them to make good choices and move forward with confidence and clarity. She’s passionate about improving her clients’ experience of their relationship transition providing practical support and insights easing you through the process.
Jennifer started her career doing prosecutions for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions. In 1997, she made the decision to pursue the area of law which most interested her, family law.
In 2007, Jennifer started her own practice in Sydney, when she had three young children of her own. She grew the practice and later sold it, deciding to make the move back to Brisbane and began Franklin Family Law in 2017.
For many years Jennifer worked as an Independent Children’s Lawyer representing the interests of children in complex parenting matters.
She is a regular volunteer at the Women’s Legal Service providing advice to women in family law and domestic violence matters on a pro bono basis.
Jennifer holds a Bachelors Degree in Law, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and a Masters in Applied Law (Family Law). She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, a Fellow of the College of Law and admitted to practice in Queensland, New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
She’s a brave single mother to three gorgeous teenagers and a very old dog. Jennifer is also a boogie boarding and chocolate enthusiast – but not at the same time!
